The Suez Canal Authority has published its updated convoy schedule for the summer season. Felix Maritime summarises the key changes affecting pleasure craft.
The Suez Canal Authority (SCA) has published its updated convoy scheduling guidelines for the summer 2026 season, effective from 15 June. The changes affect the timing of the southbound yacht convoy and introduce a new pre-booking requirement for vessels over 500 GT.
The southbound yacht convoy departure time has moved from 07:00 to 06:00 local time for the summer months, reducing the risk of night transit in the southern section of the Canal. Vessels over 500 GT must now confirm their convoy slot at least 96 hours in advance (increased from 72 hours).
Felix Maritime clients are already being contacted individually to review their scheduling. If your transit is planned between 15 June and 30 September, please contact our transit coordination team to confirm your updated timeline.
