Felix Maritime handled 94 superyacht transits in Q1 2026. Here's a breakdown of flag states, vessel sizes, and the routes our fleet took across the Red Sea.
Q1 2026 was the most active quarter on record for Felix Maritime's yacht division. We handled 94 superyacht transit files between January and March — up 28% on the same period in 2025.
The Cayman Islands flag remained the most common registry among vessels we handled (31%), followed by Malta (18%), the Marshall Islands (14%), and the British Virgin Islands (11%). A growing contingent of vessels under the UAE flag also made their first Red Sea transits via our team.
The average length overall (LOA) of vessels handled was 42 metres — up from 38 metres in 2025, reflecting the continued growth of the 40–60 metre segment of the superyacht market.
Q1 proved that the Red Sea route is now a mainstream choice for circumnavigation voyages, not just a niche alternative.
